Taking advantege of wasting my time at the airport I've decided to write a couple of lines about the conference I've just attended. Its title was "3D Materials Science" and its purpose was to give the community involved in any kind of three-dimensional analysis of materials to meet
and exchange their experience. The conference was followed by an additional workshop related to software for microsturcture analysis.
The most important observations are:
1) Nobody does analysis similar to mine.
2) However, many scientists would be happy having them.
3) It leads us to another confirmation that our work makes sense!
Based on the workshop I've found out that some of of ideas would help, and what is really important for my further work
I had an opportunity to learn the new verision of DREAM.3D software which is able to create and smooth surface mesh of boundary surface. This procedure is essential for extracting boundaries from experimental data.
