This November was a long month full of cycling through the Leoben in Austria. I spent all my time on practicing tribology measurement methods, samples scratching and PACVD deposition techniques. I have measured mechanical properties of polyelectrolyte coatings based on 24 bilayers of PLL/HA containing silver nanoparticles introduced by in situ UV induced reduction method. I have also prepared set of tube samples for future hemocompatibility analysis of PEMs modified by nanoparticles.

Continuation of preceded work related to implemation of models for practical usage. The applied model have been used for three examined ternary compositions. In meantime, experiment is organized for measuerement of three physicochemical properties

The main task of October concerns investigations under kinetics of proteins’ release from polyelectrolyte coatings which were modified by chemical cross-linking or silver/SiC nanoparticles incorporation. The ELISA immunoassay was performed in order to assess level of VEGF growth factor concentration which is essential for coatings settlement by endothelial cells.
