Transformation
matrix
"Transformation matrix" is provided to enable fitting of combinations
of strain components. The functionality of this tool is best explained
on an example. Suppose one wants to determine the 'a' parameter of a
cubic lattice. This cannot be achieved by fixing all strain
components except those on the diagonal (crystal coordinate system,
"Strain determination
CCS" dialog box) because the three resulting values will be
generally different. The proper approach will be to fix all components
except "e(11)", and to modify the "Transformation matrix" so
only (11), (12) and (13) are non-zero and equal to 1. The
transformation
matrix can be modified by clicking on "TM" command button of
the "Strain determination
CCS" dialog box. The
default transformation matrix is the identity matrix.
