FDTD Simulation set up was rearranged in order to obtian optimal simualtion conditions. Simualtion of low index materials like silver reiured very fine mesh and careful parameter adjustement. It was done by convergence testing and camparison of simulated and theoretical results of extinction cross section of Johnsnon and Cristy model. Next conidtions were veryfied for other models of silver. The most appropriate model was defined by adusting extinction plot with measured absrobance curve of actual suspension. Palik model seemed to provide the best match. It was used for further investigations.

Model suspension of 100 nm higly neagative particles was used to study the influance of PAH adsorption. The optimal conditions of ionic strength of 0,15 and pH 7 were found.

The days are short and dark. Everyday I ride bicykle through the fields and roads in cold and rain. I'm lucky that the distance is not too far

This November was a long month full of cycling through the Leoben in Austria. I spent all my time on practicing tribology measurement methods, samples scratching and PACVD deposition techniques. I have measured mechanical properties of polyelectrolyte coatings based on 24 bilayers of PLL/HA containing silver nanoparticles introduced by in situ UV induced reduction method. I have also prepared set of tube samples for future hemocompatibility analysis of PEMs modified by nanoparticles.

Maybe, I won't be very original, but I was writing, and writing, and writing...
trying to extract the essence of my research.
